What is telepractice?
With telehealth speech therapy, we meet face to face, with a secure connection. We will be able to see and hear each other, as well as screenshare. We will use visual supports (handouts, pictures, websites, writing and typing) to will conduct the session as though we are in the same physical space.
Online speech therapy provides access to high quality speech therapy, offers all the benefits of 1:1 therapy AND saves travel and time. If you have a high speed internet connection, I can almost always offer this option.
Does it work as well as in-person therapy?
Research shows that the results provided by interactive telepractice are as effective as in-person therapy. As a telepractice provider, I utilize specialized techniques adapted to telepractice to ensure the quality of therapy is not compromised.
Each client's needs will differ, and I am dedicated to adjusting my process to meet your specific needs.
What are the benefits?
Same high quality 1:1 therapy service that you would receive in-person.
Telepractice is convenient. You can do your speech therapy from your home or office.
Saves time. No wasted time driving to your speech therapy appointment. Take a brief 30-60 minute break from your daily routine for your therapy, then get back to your day.
You aren’t limited by the Speech Therapists who live in your area. Different therapists specialize in different diagnoses and treatment areas. You want to see an SLP with experience and continuing education, who has focused her career on treating YOUR disorder. If you have Parkinson’s or have had a stroke, you don’t want a therapist that primarily sees early intervention children. Telepractice allows you access to a skilled SLP focused on YOUR area of concern. Services are available throughout Wisconsin.
